ECPAT International

ECPAT International is a global network of civil society organizations focused on ending all forms of sexual exploitation of children. Founded in 1990, the organization has evolved from its initial campaign against sex tourism in Asia to address a wide range of issues, including online exploitation, trafficking, and exploitation in travel and tourism. With its secretariat based in Bangkok, Thailand, ECPAT coordinates research, advocacy, and support for its 122 member organizations across numerous countries. ECPAT's mission is to create a world where children are free from sexual exploitation. The organization engages in research, advocacy, and collaboration with various stakeholders, including governments and the private sector, to strengthen laws and protection systems. It also focuses on survivor engagement, providing resources for rights, justice access, and support. ECPAT's strategic framework emphasizes leadership in addressing sexual exploitation and promoting child rights, aligning with global efforts to combat child abuse and trafficking.
